Jamie Oliver mother of three children, D’Wonte, Diamond and Destiny grew up in a small-town Brighton, AL. Ms. Oliver didn’t know much about real estate growing up, but she knew her mother and father were both homeowners and that was her goal. As a child, a desire to purchase and live in a large home sparked when she would accompany her mother while working. She witnessed her mom drive over the mountains of Mtn Brook, AL weekly to take care of families and clean their homes.
At age of 20, after many years had gone by, Ms. Oliver set a goal to have her first home built from the ground by age 25, never did she know that her dream would come to pass at age 21. Literally, two weeks before she gave birth to her second child, she was blessed by Habitat for Humanity with a home built from the ground for her family. She then became drawn to real estate, the process and wanted to help other young mothers and families just like her. Because she had small children, she didn’t pursue her dream right away as a Realtor but worked in Cooperate America and managed to graduate with two Associate Degrees in Computer Information Systems and Administrative Office Management. For 13 years, she worked as an Accounting and Administrative Professional for the State of Alabama. She is also, a published co-author of Amazon’s Best-selling book, If These Walls Could Talk and a Domestic Violence Advocate for varies women shelters in Alabama.
In 2016, Ms. Oliver experienced a total loss of her home due to a fire. As a result, she and her family experienced a financial hardship and homelessness. Those challenges brought Ms. Oliver back to her 21-year-old dream and desire of wanting to help other families obtain home ownership. In 2018 she decided to dive into the real estate industry and attended the Alabama School of Real Estate. She is now a licensed Realtor for Town Square Realty, servicing the states of Alabama and Georgia. Her goal is to help families with credit repair, by becoming more financially literate and stable, through financial counseling so that they too can obtain home ownership.
“I’m your path to home ownership, let Ms. Jay lead the way!”
